simSchool is a safe environment where trainee teachers can experiment and practice new teaching techniques without endangering real pupils. I think it might be a good refresher for some teachers that are getting a bit long in the tooth too!

I would love to trial SychronEyes in my classroom. Having used Apple’s Remote Desktop and having seen DyKnow in action I think this product by SMART Tech. may well prove to be better. Anyone tried it in ‘the field’?

“SynchronEyes classroom management software connects a teacher’s computer with every computer in a networked classroom. SynchronEyes software is easy to use and offers a variety of features that enable you to keep students focused on learning and redirect their attention if they go off track.

You can communicate, monitor or collaborate with students individually or as a group, so everyone gets the most out of class time.”

iEARN (International Education and Resource Network) is the world’s largest non-profit global network that enables teachers and youth to use the Internet and other technologies to collaborate on projects that enhance learning and make a difference in the world.”

A colleague and I have identified several Humanities units that we would like to marry to iEARN projects. MYP and iEARN philosophy is very well connected.
